Horrified deliver some of their best dual guitar wielding and smash-face bass work in this blaster of an album!
Favorite track: Crestfallen.

Fantastic EP, complex and engaging, unconventional and rewarding. This is not your meat-and-potatoes death metal but something far more aspiring.
"The value of this release comes with its jogging NWOBHM-esque rhythms that resemble progressive death metal as much as they do epic heavy metal structures." - Grizzly Butts 4/5 Metal of the Month: Decembers Finest 15 Releases (2019)
Best of 2019 - Indy Metal Vault
"Sentinel stands as a familiarly fantastic release, showcasing all that the band does well and then some. Coupled with its more concise runtime and straightforward yet appropriately complex style, there are few releases during this crazy month that I would recommend more highly for melodic death metal fans. Sentinel is an utterly solid collection of tracks that you should spin at your earliest convenience." - Heavy Blog Is Heavy
"Horrified pass the prog death maturity test on this 30 minute ep" 7.5/10 - Deaf Forever.
"On Sentinel it’s clear that Horrified feel very confident in their own skins, and are happy writing songs that marry a few different ingredients into their engaging and enjoyable blend of deathliness. Very highly recommended" Wonderbox Metal
"The result is inventive, progressive death metal with a lot of melody. You will be beaten with great guitar parts and you will even have to think about Iron Maiden regularly. What I find very important is the fact that a good song is central. Nowhere do the compositions fall into technical trouble. Here the balance is found between musicality and bold sounding death metal." - 9/10 Lords of Metal
"The approach of Horrified is therefore interesting: the English boys opt for a sound detached from the cavernous tones of the Incantation brand or from the umpteenth swedish death revival, finding a more acute and singular expression" - MetalItalia
"Horrified sit very comfortable in their very own niche. Accurate comparisons are difficult but Melodic / Progressive Death Metal fits here.” - 8/10 Metal.de
"A good taste of the level of musicianship that Horrified have been providing for the better part of a decade. For fans of Horrendous, Asphyx, and melodic death metal." - Heavy Music HQ

I'm not into black metal.
But i dig this.
Fantastic lyrics, an interesting cover, real good musicians.
Their music rather proves that the band has a certain talent for songwriting - but without ever being fenced in by traditional, "classic" forms.
